June 29, 2015

Danton Boller is back on top, leading runners-up Garrett Schwab and Michael Orobona by a full point. Although this is only the second time Danton has led in a full update this year, he has topped a pool-high 21 daily updates since the beginning of May.

How are we doing so far? Our current point average is nearly 2.5 higher than our average one year ago, and well above comparable updates from 2012 and 2013. Seven different entrants have led or co-led weekly updates so far, and more than half of us have led at least one daily update this year.

Our HBPs? Not so much. On June 28th of last year, three entrants had 44 in the tiebreaker column, along with a poolwide average of almost 28 HBPs. Today, Will Rice is our only entrant with more than 20…

How will Giancarlo Stanton’s hand injury impact the pool? Point totals will dip but standings won’t change much, since 85% of us picked the slugger for at least one of the batting categories. Stanton has already lost the NL RBI lead to the red hot Nolan Arenado, who has 7 HR and 14 RBI in the last week.

See you next Monday!
